Do I need to know how to write prompts or use AI?
No. You paste creator handles, you tap approve on stills you like, and you collect finished clips. There is nothing to learn. If you can use Instagram, you can use ViralGen.
Do the videos look AI generated?
They are AI generated, and platforms expect that to be disclosed. ViralGen re-creates a scene that already worked with your own creator persona, matching the shot, pose and lighting. You review every clip yourself and approve it into the Schedule pool, so nothing reaches your calendar without you seeing it first. Where a platform asks you to label AI-assisted content, label it: disclosed posts get normal distribution.
What platforms can I post to?
TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and X. ViralGen exports 720p MP4s sized for vertical short form. You post wherever you already post.
How is this different from a normal AI video tool?
Normal AI tools ask you to invent content from scratch and write prompts to describe it. ViralGen starts from videos that are already winning in your niche, puts your creator on them, and delivers finished clips. You replicate proven structures instead of inventing.
Who owns the videos? Can I post them as my own?
You own every clip you generate. ViralGen replicates the structure of viral scenes (camera, lighting, pacing) and puts your creator in the frame. Output is yours to post, monetize, and license.
How is this priced?
One subscription. Every plan includes the full pipeline (discovery, generation, audits, scheduling, and Drive delivery). Billed monthly or yearly. Cancel anytime, no annual lock in.
What if I already have a creator I want to use?
Upload a reference photo of your creator (real or AI) and ViralGen locks that face onto every clip you approve. Same identity, same brand recognition, every reel.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing whenever you like. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and any remaining credits stay on your account. No long term contracts.
How fast will I see my first finished video?
Most reels finish in 4 to 9 minutes from approval. The pipeline parallelises discovery and image generation so the queue does not stall on one slow step.
Does ViralGen post automatically to TikTok or Instagram?
No. We hand you a finished MP4 and a schedule. Posting is one tap from the iOS Shortcut or from Google Drive. Direct posting integrations are on the 90 day roadmap.
Will Meta or TikTok flag my content as AI generated?
They may, and that is fine — the platforms penalise hiding AI, not using it. Label AI-assisted content where a platform asks you to: disclosed posts get normal distribution, while undisclosed ones risk a strike once detection catches up. You review every clip before it goes anywhere, so you always know what you are publishing.
What credit budget should I plan for?
A finished 8 second reel costs about 52 credits: 1 discovery, 3 image, 48 video at standard quality. Starter (450) covers ~8 reels per month; Professional (1,000) ~19; Agency (2,500) ~48.
Which AI engines does ViralGen use?
WAN, Seedance, and Kling for video; Qwen Edit for stills. Quality routing happens automatically; Agency plans prefer pro/1080p output where the engine supports it.
What happens to my credits when I cancel?
If you cancel yourself, your plan runs until the end of the billing period you paid for and any remaining credits stay on your account. Credits are only removed on failed payments, chargebacks, or termination for abuse. You can resubscribe at any time.
Is there an API?
Yes. A read only token API powers the iOS Shortcut (/api/shortcuts/next-reel). A broader developer API is on the roadmap.
Where is my data hosted?
Supabase in the EU (Frankfurt). Stripe handles payments under PCI-DSS Level 1. Generated videos sit in Supabase Storage; you can request full deletion of your account and data through the contact form on our website.
Can I run multiple Instagram or TikTok accounts?
Yes. Professional allows two creators; Agency is unlimited. Each creator can have its own iOS Shortcut tile via the model query parameter.
How does ViralGen decide which posts are viral?
We score each candidate by views divided by followers (capped to avoid black swan outliers) then filter by recency, virality threshold, and a safety pass. Trends mode adds seed accounts in your niche.
Can I review the AI output before anything goes anywhere?
Yes. Every clip lands in the Audit page first. Approve, reject, or send back for regeneration. Only approved clips land on the Schedule.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Starter and Professional include a 48 hour free trial. Connect a card, get 100 credits instantly, and your first charge lands automatically after 48 hours unless you cancel before then from Settings → Billing. One trial per person and per card. Agency has no trial and charges on day 0. How refunds and credits are handled is explained on our Refund Policy page at viralgen.ai/refunds.
